Re-indexing
Data Files
If
you are having sorting problems with your IRis
data - for example, agency records are displayed out of
order - your index files may be corrupted. Re-indexing
the database can fix this problem.
Even
with normal usage, IRis data files can grow very
large and indexes can become outdated, so it's
recommended to re-index your data regularly to maintain
performance. You may also want to re-index the
database if you've deleted a lot of records recently.
Re-indexing the database will permanently remove these
records, freeing up space and making the system run
faster.

Tech Tip
Q
We just bought a new server. What is the best way
to move IRis from the existing server to the new
one?
A
With IRis 2.3, all you need to do
(after setting up the new server) is: Go to the IRis
folder on the old server, R-click on it, select
Copy, navigate to the correct drive on the new
server, R-click and choose Paste.
