 Creating Directory on Disk  CD

Step 1:  Create the Windows Directory on Disk CD

1.           Create 3 directories somewhere on your hard drive and call them Disk1, Disk2, Disk3

2.           Copy all the files from the DIRDISK\WIN144_1 folder under IRis to the Disk1 folder.

3.           Copy all the files from the DIRDISK\WIN144_2 folder under IRis to the Disk2 folder.

4.           Copy all the files from the DIRDISK\WIN144_3 folder under IRis to the Disk3 folder.

5.           Open your CD Burner software and have it burn the 3 directories to the CD.  When your user installs your Directory on disk they will go to the Disk1 folder then setup.exe.

Step 2: Burn the Data to the CD, remember if you have room on your Windows Directory on Disk CD you can follow these steps and burn to the same CD.

1.           Create your Data Disks per the Directory on Disk instructions.

2.           Create the Data Floppies

3.           Create directories on your hard drive that matches the amount of data disk you have created.  For example:  2 data floppies were created.  Create one folder called Data1, then create a second folder called Data2.

4.           Open you CD Burner software and have it burn the directories with contents to the CD.

5.           When your user is ready to install the data into Directory on Disk they will choose the OTHER option instead of A: or B:.  Then they will choose their CD-ROM drive and then Data1 directory.

A With IRis 2.3, all you need to do (after setting up the new server) is: Go to the IRis folder on the old server, R-click on it, select Copy, navigate to the correct drive on the new server, R-click and choose Paste.
