Sites Module
The new
Sites Module is currently under development. Upon its release, IRis 3.0
customers will have the choice to activate the module. Upon activation, the the
Resources data will need to be converted from the original Agencies-Programs
structure, to the new Agencies-Sites-Services structure. The Sites module will
be introduced by the end of 2003, however, current customers can prepare by
taking some steps NOW to ensure a smooth transition:
1. Inform
your director. They’ll need to know if extra personnel or time will be needed to
help with this process.
2. Go
through your keyword list and clean it up. Keywords will become Services, so
think along those lines: does this keyword really define the service?
3. Make
sure the correct keywords and taxonomy terms are attached to the programs.
Programs will become Sites, so you’ll want to make sure each Site has the proper
Service attached to it.
