SunCoast is excited to announce the start of a new service which enables us to give product demonstrations and training sessions via the Internet. Workshops will focus on a specific aspect of IRis 3.0, Publications, Directory On Disk, or IRis For The Web.
Here’s how it works:
Go to the “Training” page on our web site to see the list of workshop sessions posted. Bookmark the page, so you can check back frequently for current offerings. If you don’t see one you want, contact us to suggest a workshop, or inquire about private workshops.
To see details about the workshop, click on the name of the workshop.
click on the “register” link - DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL POSTING.
Follow the directions to complete registration.
Within 24 hours, you will receive an email confirmation and invoice.
Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a payment receipt and instructions for joining the meeting.
The day before the scheduled meeting date, please follow the meeting set up instructions. This involves downloading a small file required for the online meeting. For DSL and faster connections, this might take 5 minutes; for slower connections, it might take up to an hour. When this step is completed prior to the meeting, all you’ll have to do is click the “join now” link from your confirmation email (or go to the meetings web site if you want to join the meeting from a different computer than where you receive email).
About the online workshops:
Sessions will be scheduled for approximately 1 ½ hours each. Subjects that normally take longer than 1 ½ hours to teach may be broken into two separate workshop sessions.
Attendees will need a computer connected to the Internet (minimum 56K Internet speed connection required; the faster the connection speed, the better), and a telephone.
After registering for the class, you will be pre-billed for the class. Workshops must be pre-paid. Number of attendees per workshop session is limited to 5 connections, unless noted otherwise. The cost is $95 per workshop session (based on “per connection”, not “per person”), unless noted otherwise. Workshops may be paid by check or credit card. Credit card payments will incur a 7% processing fee.
You may join the meeting from your own desk, or you may set up a computer in a conference room for group training. To set up an online meeting in a conference room, you should make sure the room has:
(a) access to the Internet, and
(b) a computer or laptop computer in it, and
(c) a telephone with “speaker” capability.
(d) You might also want to connect an LCD projector to the computer; the image can then be projected to a screen or wall so everyone can see it clearly.
Workshop materials will be sent electronically prior to the start of the session. We recommend printing these out prior to the start of the session.
