The next generation of IRis, 4.0 is now shipping!
IRis is a database-driven software system specifically designed to help organizations manage their Information & Referral/Assistance activities. The system is installed to a local file server or stand-alone computer, and is used to:
- organize service provider information
- collect information about people served
- refer people to service providers according to services needed
- track needs/unmet needs
- match volunteers to organizations with volunteer opportunities
- create standard and custom reports
IRis 4.0 offers an out-of-the-box application which meets all AIRS standards for I&R software systems. It also meets 211Taxonomy standards, 211 Accreditation requirements, AIRS XML standards for data-migration, and is anticipated to work well with third-party screen reader programs, such as JAWS.
In addition, IRis 4.0 offers a slew of user-defined fields which can be activated, named, and placed wherever you want on the screen. In fact, almost every screen offers a unique easy-to-use drag-and-drop screen designer feature which allows you to lay out the fields and screens to fit the needs of your organization, without compromising data-sharing capabilities. The entire application is designed with customization in mind, so you can make it your own, without the expense and headache of hiring programmers to create a custom-built system.
