SunCoast offers two options for IRis Training:
Online Training and On-Site Training.
Online
Training
SunCoast has partnered with XI Inc, a service which allows us to
offer online workshops with a “live” instructor. All you need is a telephone and
a computer with a browser connected to the Internet. This service works with any
Internet connection speed, but a high-speed connection is recommended (i.e., cable, DSL, T1, etc.).
Step 1 - Check class schedule
Click here for a
downloadable list of scheduled classes with descriptions and agenda, as
well as group training dates. Each class costs $95; class lengths are noted for each class.
We'll also post announcements and reminders to the IRis Users list serv group. If you're not part of the list serv group, click here to join now -- it's free!
Step 2 - Book a class
To book a class, send an email to
sales@suncoastprograms.com.
Include your name, name and location of your organization, your telephone
and email address, class title, class date/time, and billing preference.
Step 3 - Join the meeting or class
Visit the
web conference site. Please bookmark this site. Click on the Join Meeting button and enter in the meeting code. The code is provided by SunCoast personnel.
We can invoice you for the class(es), or deduct the cost from your tech
support account - just let us know your preference.
On-Site Training
In-person, or on-site, training is still available, as well!
There are many benefits to having a certified trainer visit your facility. Some
of these include the opportunity for one-on-one instruction, or brainstorming to
determine whether you’re using IRis to its fullest capacity at your
organization.
IRis
training can be done at your agency, or another location of your choice.
Certified IRis Trainers tailor the training sessions for each customer, so
training is received on the areas in IRis that best fits their needs. Past
sessions have focused on:

End-user (Call Operator / data entry) personnel

Database Administrator / Supervisor personnel

Reports: Built-In reports and IRis Query (custom reports)

Screen Designer (contact/caller screen customizations)

Train-the-Trainer (intensive workshop for those who need
to train others in their organization)

While at the site, some customers have
asked the trainer take a look at their system setups in case
improvements can be made to better fit the agency's operations.
Customers may hire a trainer for one-on-one
training, or they may organize a training and invite several other
agencies to participate and share the cost.
On Site Instruction Packages (at location of your choice*):
Cost covers up to 8 hours per day with instructor, their travel and meal costs, and up to 5 workbooks. 21-day advance notice required.

*The Customer is responsible for making arrangements for meeting facility, computer lab, etc. Instructor will consult with IT personnel to make sure software is ready to use.
Coordination of IRis training is handled by SunCoast’s in-house trainer,
Janet Winston of Columbus, Georgia. With over 5+ years experience as a database
manager instrumental in implementing 2-1-1 at a blended I&R/crisis center,
Janet is a uniquely qualified IRis trainer. Our other certified IRis 3.0 trainers
include Bill Campbell in Bradenton, Florida (Director, First Call For Help) and
Mary Duke in Belton, Texas (Central Texas Workforce Development Board). For

| | Private consultation-type online training is also available and encouraged. The cost is $105/hour and normally covers any questions you might have about how one of our products or services handles something required of your job – perhaps you have a list of "how to" questions, or you might need help building a certain type of custom report.
