Instructions:

IRis 4.0 Update

1. Make sure everyone is out of IRis.
2. Make a full backup of IRis and the IRis database.
3. Download the zip file to a temporary folder.
4. Unzip the downloaded file to your main IRis 4.0 folder. This can be found on your server if you are a multi user customer or on the PC if you are a single user customer. NOTE: if you are using the full SQL Server you will not need to copy the .exe to the server.
5. Overwrite the existing files.
6. If you are a multi user customer you will need to copy the new IRis40.exe and any other files that were included in the update .zip file to each workstation and overwrite the existing file.

IRis 4.0 Dashboard Template

1. Download the .zip file from the website to a temporary folder on the hard drive.
2. Open the IRis4.0 folder.
3. If a folder named 'dashboard' exists skip to step 5.
4. Create a new folder in the IRis 4.0 folder and name it 'dashboard'.
5. Copy the file from the temporary folder in Step 1 to the dashboard folder.
6. Do all the steps above for each workstation.

NOTE: To activate the agency updates sent and returned fields, go to the Agency Screen Designer > Default Fields and drag the two fields to an Agency page.

IRis 4.0 Help

NOTE: the instructions below need to be done on every workstation that runs IRis 4.0.

1. Download the zip file to the IRis 4.0 folder
2. Unzip the file to the Web Help folder and overwrite the existing files
3. The Help file can now be accessed from within IRis by clicking on the Help icon

IRis 4.0 HTML Files

NOTE: if you have modified your HTML files contact Technical Services before applying this update.

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder.
2. Unzip the downloaded file to your HTML folder under your main IRis 4.0 folder. This can be found on your server if you are a multi user customer or on the PC if you are a single user customer.
3. Overwrite the existing files.

IRis 4.0 Reports

NOTE: if you have modified your Report files contact Technical Services before applying this update.

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder.
2. Unzip the downloaded file to the Standard Reports folder under the IRis 4.0 folder.
3. Overwrite all the old files.
4. Open IRis 4.0.
5. Click on the Standard Reports button.
6. Click on the arrow import button next to the import button.
7. Select the folder you unzipped the files to.
8. Place a check next to the reports you want to import..
9. Click on the Import button.

NOTE: The above steps can be done from one computer. If you have a multi user IRis the one computer will update everyone’s reports.

IRis 3.0 Update

If IRis is installed on a computer with Internet access

1. Open IRis 3.0.
2. Cclick on Help off the IRis menu.
3. Click on On-line Updates.
4. Follow the instructions to register your copy of IRis 3.0.
5. If you're already registered, please read and follow the on-line instructions to download and install any available Updates (note: Updates are cumulative, so if you miss one, don't worry about it -- just download the most current file).

If you don’t have IRis installed on a computer with Internet access, but you do have an Internet connection somewhere else, you can visit our web site at www.suncoastprograms.com/registration.htm, print out the registration form and either fax or mail it to us. Or you can call tech support at 800-335-8817 and request that they fax you a registration form. Using the fax method to register your program is slower; it may take up to 24 hours to be able to download the update files.

IRis 3.0 Help File

1. Download to main IRis 3.0 directory.
2. Overwrite the existing file.

IRis 3.0 Universal Search and Replace Update

1. Download to main IRis 3.0 directory.
2. Overwrite the existing file.

IRis 3.0 Export Services Update

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder.
2. Unzip the file to the main IRis 3.0 directory.
3. Overwrite the existing file.

IRis Publications

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder on the local hard drive.
2. Unzip the file to the temporary folder.
3. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
4. Find the temporary folder.
5. Double click on the Setup.exe file.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions until you get to the Destination Folder screen:
7. To accept the default destination folder (C:\WordPrnt), click NEXT, or
8. To change the destination folder, click CHANGE. If CHANGE is selected, use the drop down menu to select the correct drive, then double-click on the folder you want to use (or create a subfolder if one is not listed) – make sure to make a note of the path you have designated! Do not install to the IRis directory.
9. Click OK

IFTW 4 Holding Pen Update

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder.
2. Unzip the downloaded file to the location of the Holding Pen installation.
3. Overwrite the existing files.
4. If you are a multi user customer you will need to copy the new Holding Pen.exe file to each workstation that has the Holding Pen installed and overwrite the existing file.

Taxonomy Wizard Update - IRis Versions 2.x and 3.x

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder on the local hard drive.
2. Unzip the file to the temporary folder.
3. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
4. Find the temporary folder.
5. Double click on the Setup.exe file.
6. Follow the on screen instructions

Updated Zip Codes Database

1. Download the zip file to a temporary folder on the local hard drive.
2. Unzip the file to a folder in the IRis 4.0 directory.
3. Open IRis 4.0.
4. Click on the Tools menu option.
5. Select Import Zipcodes.
6. Click on the Search File icon for the zip codes databases that was downloaded and unzipped earlier. There are 2 databases to choose from, you can import both if you need them.
• POSTALCODEWORLD-CA-PREMIUM.DBF - Canadian zip codes
• ZIPCODEWORLD-US-PREMIUM.DBF - United States zip codes
7. Click on the Import button.
8. After the import is complete you can manage zip codes by selecting the Setup US Cities List tab. This tab allows you to remove cities from zip codes that you do not need.
